The Leaning Tower of Pisa | Travel Xena

More images capturing places that I went to in 2017. As I plan to go to Italy for a few days next week it seems fair to post pictures of one of the most iconic Italian structure, more universally recognized than the Colosseum in Rome, the leaning tower of Pisa. Construction was started in the 1100s and lasted 200 years, today it still stands albeit when viewed from a distance leaning precariously at nearly 4 degrees, though it used to lean more than that.

Yes I did the tourist thing of pretending that I was holding it up with my hands (see below) what is a trip to a famous structure without doing something just a little bit silly. 🙂
