I’m “Xena” an avid (perhaps rabid) traveler, dreamer, dancer and creator. My first bout of wander lust came when I was a little girl and my mother told me all about her stories of traveling around the U.S., long stints in South America and gallivanting across Europe. I’d pack up my old Samsonite vintage suitcase that my Nana gave me and pretend I was going places. When I was 20 I had the chance to actually travel out of the U.S. on a solo trip. It was my first time out of the country and it’s been no stopping me from there. I’ve been a lot of places but not tons of places. There’s still so much I want to see right here in the good old US of A not to mention in various wonderful spots around the world.
If you’re looking for magnificent prose on various ports of call, you’re in the wrong spot. However if you like cool photos and short write ups you’ll probably want to park here for a bit. I’m working my way back from my most recent trips that I’ve taken this year to vacations in the later part of 2010, and I might post photos from places that I went to previous to this time. I hope you enjoy some of the sights and sounds I’ve experienced while viewing TravelXena.com
Fashion, Dance & Design
Fashion. I’ve run a fashion website for a few years now. It’s me talking about one of my favorite colors and how it can work with different shades, shapes and events. I also enjoy shopping for various trips to either reflect a theme (ala 1940s, SciFi etc) or buying new items while in an unfamiliar spot, appreciating the new textures designs and colors around me.
Dance. Freestyle dancing has been a part of my life since I realized that one could dance. If I start, don’t get too close. I go into my zone and I will need space! LOL
Design. I’m a self-taught costume designer. Yes the Faerie princess at the Ren Faire just might be me…see someone dressed as Uhura at a Star Trek convention? That might be me too.
My real name isn’t Xena, but it’s a nick name I’ve used for ages and after a while people started calling me by that moniker. So there you have it. Feel free to call me Xena if you ever meet me. 🙂
