A photo tour of the Crystal and Fantasy Caves in Bermuda
One of the foremost attractions of Bermuda are the Crystal and Fantasy caves found in Hamilton Parish. They are on the same piece of property and though separate cave systems are about 300 meters apart. Entering them you’re just not sure if you’ve gone back time or entered onto the set of a science fiction movie. The stalactite & stalagmite formations are awe inspiring and definitely worth seeing at least once. You’ll have a guide in each place that will escort you down the steps and tell you the history of the caves as well as a bit of information about the formations.
Off the beaten path they can easily be reached by bus. If you’ve arrived by a ship that has docked in Heritage or Kings Wharf, bear in mind that it will take about an hour and fifteen minutes to get to the caves and you will need to switch buses at Hamilton Bus Terminal. Your bus driver will be able to tell you the transfer bus to take.
The current price to see both runs $27 each for adults. Steep considering that they aren’t that big. If you decide to opt for one over the other, the colors and depth of the Fantasy cave make it more of a visual treat.
